EDU Secretary-General Accredited to European Union Parliament


H.E. Mr. Irving Levance, the Secretary-General of the Intergovernmental Organization EDU, is delighted to have been granted accreditation for direct access to the European Parliament in both Brussels and Strasbourg.

This accreditation grants the Secretary-General greater access to the decision making apparatus of the world's largest trading bloc, which is also the world's largest aid donor, allowing him to lobby directly on matters deemed of concern to EDU by having the ability to influence the direction of decision making processes thru face to face consultation.

​

His Excellency looks forward to utilizing this accredited access status at the Parliament to the promote the established and future objectives of the IGO.

​

Over the next 12 months, the Secretary-General will lobby for:

​

  • An increase in funds allocated to provide scholarships for students in developing countries to study in the European Union.

  • Grants to assist students in poorer countries to study remotely with schools in their own countries.

  • Continued interaction between accreditation and evaluation agencies throughout the EU.

Aside from his recent accreditation to the EU Parliament, His Excellency is also accredited as Chief Observer for the Education Charter Organization CCLP, to ECOSOC at the United Nations in Geneva.
